BASEL, Sept 2 PRNewswire-AsiaNet - A new study presented at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2002 shows that Diovan(R) (valsartan), the angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), is a highly cost-effective treatment for heart failure patients not taking angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, currently the most widely-prescribed drugs for this disease.
